Marcie Higgs is a member of the firm’s family law practice group and brings decades of experience supporting clients through all stages of domestic matters. She has worked exclusively in family law since 1996 and has extensive experience assisting with custody, support, and equitable distribution matters.

Before relocating to North Carolina, Marcie worked with a law firm in Maryland, where she supported attorneys in divorce and custody cases, as well as adoptions and appellate matters. She uses her experience and training to be a steady and trusted presence for both clients and attorneys.

Marcie earned her B.A. from the University of Maryland–College Park and holds a Paralegal Certificate from Montgomery College. She is known for her depth of experience, attention to detail, and commitment to helping clients navigate the legal process with clarity and confidence.

Outside of the office, Marcie is a wife, mom of three and proud grandmother. She enjoys spending time with her family and especially looks forward to their annual beach vacations—often returning with saltwater taffy to share. In her downtime, Marcie also enjoys working on puzzles and relaxing with the people she loves most.
